Say goodbye to the stress of traffic and parking! Guests can now board the Trolley at specific locations in the surrounding suburbs of the city, enjoying free parking and a seamless journey to the theater and back. With Molly's Trolleys Pittsburgh providing the ride and Audacy Radio providing onboard entertainment, the journey to and from the theater becomes part of the experience offering convenience and fun for the whole family.

PCLO show tickets must be purchased in advance, and guests can then add-on a Trolley ticket for $10.00 directly through Molly’s Trolleys Pittsburgh. PCLO SHOW SHUTTLE will only be offered on select show dates and times throughout the summer.

Families can now enjoy the magic of theater together without breaking the bank. For every Adult ticket purchased, up to four Child tickets can be added for just $10 each. This initiative ensures that economic barriers never stand in the way of creating magical memories together. 

PCLO Family Pass tickets can be purchased in all price zones for any show date and time of show offered. PCLO FAMILY PASS will be available for four of the six Summer Season productions: WEST SIDE STORY, THE MUSIC MAN, and SEUSSICAL for children 3 – 18 years of age. For THE COLOR PURPLE, children should be aged 13-18 years old due to the content of the show.

Where is Pittsburgh CLO SHOW CARE program provided?

  • The PCLO SHOW CARE program will take place onsite at the Benedum Center, in its multipurpose room on the second floor, which will be used exclusively for this service.

What is Pittsburgh CLO SHOW CARE?

  • PCLO SHOW CARE is considered a class offered by the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater. SHOW CARE will be run by Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater faculty. Children in attendance will be learning a song, and/or a dance and/or a creative craft themed to show Parents are seeing. Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater will provide all materials necessary.

When is Pittsburgh CLO SHOW CARE being offered?

  • PCLO SHOW CARE is being offered during the Saturday matinee productions of WEST SIDE STORY, THE COLOR PURPLE, and THE MUSIC MAN

When is the deadline to sign up for Pittsburgh CLO SHOW CARE? 

  • Registrations must be in no later than one week prior to the scheduled performance. We cannot accept any particpants after that date.

What are the age limits?

  • The minimum age to attend the Pittsburgh CLO SHOW CARE program is 3 years old (must be fully potty trained) thru 12 years old.

Do I need to buy a ticket for my child who will be using the childcare service?

  • Yes, but it's free! Any child attending the PCLO SHOW CARE program must register in advance. You will receive a 'ticket' for the PCLO SHOW CARE program which the usher will scan when you enter the Benedum just like they'll scan your ticket to the performance.

Once I order my PCLO SHOW CARE ticket, am I done?

  • Not yet...your order confirmation email will include a link to an online registration form to fill out. This form asks for information about your seating location, child(ren)'s name and age, any allergies the child(ren) may have, and other important information.
  • This form must be filled out and submitted in advance. The form includes a liability waiver, which you can read in the "Liability Waiver" section of this webpage. The parent/guardian must re-confirm the registration information at drop off and remain in the building during the entire performance.

When do I drop off and pick up my child?

  • The Benedum Center opens 1 hour 15 minutes before the performance starts. You may enter the theater and drop your child off any time after the Benedum opens until the beginning of the performance.
  • Children must be picked up within 10 minutes of the performance’s ending. Children may only be released to the person that signed them in to the childcare area. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Can I check on my child at intermission?

  • This is not recommended. PCLO SHOW CARE is considered a class offered by the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater. Children in attendance will be learning a song, and/or a dance and/or a creative craft themed to show Parents are seeing. We request not interrupting this class during intermission.

What about bathroom breaks?

  • All attendees must be completely potty trained. Instructors will escort child to public restroom but will not be able do anything more.

After I drop my kid off, can I leave the theater to eat before the show starts?

  • No! Parent/Guardian must remain in the building during the entire performance.

Can I bring toys or books or games, or their favorite stuffed animal, for my child?

  • No, Pittsburgh CLO SHOW CARE is considered a class offered by the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater. Children in attendance will be learning a song, and/or a dance and/or a creative craft themed to show Parents are seeing. Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater will provide all materials necessary.

Will there be food provided?

  • Pittsburgh CLO SHOW CARE program will provide small bottles of water.
  • If a child requires special snacks due to medical condition – this will need to be disclosed at the time of registration. Parents may supply the snack and provide it to instructors at time of check-in. Snacks must be clearly labeled with the child’s name. Please note that parents must follow the Pittsburgh Cultural Trusts' outside food and beverage policy.

  • The cost to the the PCLO SHOW SHUTTLE is $10 per person regardless of age.

  • Yes! But we need to know at the time of your reservation if you are in need of space for your wheelchair. 

Do I have pay for parking at the pick-up/drop-off locatication?

  • Nope! Parking will be free. 

Where and when will I be dropped off and picked up at the theater?

Can I ride the PCLO SHOW SHUTTLE one-way?

  • No, the PCLO SHOW SHUTTLE is a round trip. We will be checking you in at pick-up and drop-off to ensure all of our patrons are on board!

Can I hop on the PCLO SHOW SHUTTLE day of the show?

  • No, you will need to reserve your seat no later than one week prior to the performance. 

Please Note: we will be checking your show ticket prior to boarding the PCLO SHOW SHUTTLE, so please keep your ticket handy!

Are there any seating restrictions? 

Nope! PCLO FAMILY PASS tickets are valid for all seating locations throughout the theater. Tickets can be located in any price zone. 

What if my child cannot sit for the full performance?

In the Benedum Center, we will have monitors located in the outer orchestra lobby and in the lower level of the theater so you can view the show from a more open area. We also offer a Quiet Room during all performances on the 2nd level of the theater with quiet, calming activities. Please see an usher for assistance. 

In the Byham Theater, we will have a monitor located in the main lobby so you can view the show from a more open area. Please see an usher for assistance. 

Is a limit to how many tickets I can purchase?

You can purchase up to 4 PCLO FAMILY PASS tickets with the purchase of a regularly priced Adult Ticket.
